Voter Information

The 2018 Oakville Municipal election will be held October 22, 2018.  Ishrani Henry has lived in and been involved in the community for years, and is qualified to take on the challenging and fulfilling role as Town Councillor.   She will be instrumental in helping create a place where families can grow and prosper — together.

WHO CAN VOTE:

 

A person is entitled to be an elector at an election held in a local municipality if, on voting day, he or she:

 

  • resides in the local municipality or is the owner or tenant of land there, or is the spouse of such owner or tenant;
  • is a Canadian citizen;
  • is at least 18 years old; and
  • is not prohibited from voting by law under the prohibition listed below, or otherwise by law.

 

Owners of multiple properties in Oakville are only able to vote once in the ward of their primary residence.

 

WHAT TO BRING:

 

Identification and your voter information notice is all you need!

 

Acceptable forms of identification include:

 

  • Driver’s License
  • Ontario photo card
  • Current utility bill
  • Current bank or credit card statement
  • Current insurance policy

Voter information notices will be mailed out in September.
